Carer Groups
.
Caring for someone can be a rewarding experience, but it can also be lonely, boring, frustrating, frightening and stressful.
The Carers’ Support Centre is here to support you through difficult times and a Carer Group can offer the empathetic support that only another Carer can give because they understand your needs are similar to their own.
Carer Groups meet regularly, some weekly, others fortnightly, and offer a varied programme of events – including speakers, leisure and health activities, visits to local attractions, tea and chat, time to relax or to go for a pub lunch and general fun and friendship. If you feel you can’t come because of your caring responsibility, talk to us, we offer a free sitter service.
.A qualified Care Worker will provide company and support to the person you care for whilst you attend the group.
