Health Liaison Workers


Some good news! Following our work as Carers’ GP Champions, the Carers’ Support Centre has secured further funding to continue with this work and also extend our support to other health services. To reflect these changes our new title is ‘Carers’ Health Liaison Worker’.

Bev Herron and Marion Hirst are 'flying the flag' for Carers. They are promoting Carer awareness, helping health service staff to understand the particular challenges faced by Carers. They are giving health services, information about what support is available for Carers and the best ways to help them.

Bev and Marion will try to ensure that Carers are referred for help sooner.The Health Liaison Workers are based at the Carers’ Support Centre and can be contacted on 01652 650585 or by email at carersgpchampions@carerssupportcentre.com.
