Grants for Carers in North Lincolnshire

Grants for Carers

It has been estimated that one household every 6 contains a Carer.  Most people who are Carers won't recognise themselves as such because they live with the person they are caring for.  Others may think they can't be Carers because they live apart from the person they support.  It doesn't matter whether you are a wife, partner, husband, parent or friends, if you devote substantial amounts of time to supporting someone you are a Carer.

Grants

As a Carer you may be eligible to one off grants to help towards the cost of things like a holiday with, or without, the person you care for (if you have not had one in the last two years), taking a short break or help with buying a specialist piece of equipment or a worn out domestic appliance.

Eligibility is based on your caring situation and how much money you have.

The application process itself is simple.  We will write to trusts and grant making bodies on your behalf.  They will look at the application and make a decision within a few weeks.  We will then inform you if they have awarded you a grant.

If you are a Carer, and would like to apply for a grant then we would like to hear from you.  Please contact Polly Seward on 01652 650585 or e-mail polly.seward@carerssupportcentre.com
