Home Care Service

 

Who is it for?

The Carers Support Centre aims to support Carers who are looking after the elderly, ill or disabled relatives or friends, at home living in North Lincolnshire area. The person they care for can live in the Carers home, or in their own home.

Our Home Care Service helps Carers by offering personal care or a domestic service for those they look after to enable the Carer to have a break for a short while.

When is the service available?

The service aims to be available when you need it. It can be for as little as one hour a week or a full day, either mornings, afternoons, evenings or night sitting. We try to be flexible to your needs and wishes. One of our staff will visit you at home to discuss your individual needs and complete an assessment.

A Care Worker is then chosen who is taught to be sensitive to your needs and who will "get on well" with the person to be looked after. The service is available either on a short term or long term basis and is adapted if needs change.

Who provides the service?

All our Care Workers and staff are carefully chosen, appropriately trained and capable of undertaking the day to day tasks the Carer would do. All our Care Workers are enhanced CRB checked and two references obtained before we employ them.

Personal Care

  • Getting up / going to bed
  • Washing
  • Dressing
  • Help with toileting
  • Companionship

Domestic

  • Light housework
  • Cooking a meal
  • Laundry
  • Pension collecting
  • Shopping

Insurance Cover

This includes Personal Accident, Public Liability, Employers Liability and Professional Indemnity.

Confidentiality

We offer confidentiality to everyone who uses our services. Information about your personal situation is not passed on to anyone outside the organisation without your express permission. All Care Workers have to sign a Confidentiality Agreement before undertaking any work for the Carers' Support Centre.

We aim to ensure that all clients using our services are given the best possible care. If you have any positive comments on our services, we would be pleases to hear them. 

 

We also know that problems can happen sometimes. If they do, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to sort out the problem as swiftly as we can.
