Lifelong Learning
What is Lifelong Learning?
Caring for a loved one can be a rewarding experience, but can also leave you feeling isolated, stressed and tired. You may feel that your whole life revolves around your caring role and there is very little time for you.
Having an interest, hobby or activity outside of the home can be a positive and life changing experience giving you a sense of importance, or being valued and building you self confidence.
Lifelong Learning aims to promote learning and training opportunities for Carers. Particularly those who do not have easy access to educational resources due to barriers like caring commitments or financial constraints.
Courses can be work related helping you to move back into paid employment, academic courses like Maths or French, they can be about lifestyle changes for example yoga, dance classes or perhaps a new hobby life golf or a new interest like model railways! The choice is yours.
Courses are paid for through Lifelong Learning, a fully trained Care Worker can be provided free of charge for the person you care for. Transport can also be arranged if required at no extra cost to you.
