Travel: Regular weekly travel around North East Lincolnshire and occasionally to Brigg (North Lincolnshire)
You will work with Carers to help them manage their caring role and look after their own health and wellbeing. No day is ever the same. You will enjoy the challenge of ensuring Carers get the support they need from the Carers’ Support Service and be knowledgeable enough to know where to signpost them to if we can’t meet all of their needs. You will work with Carers over the phone, face to face, via letter and on occasion via social media. You will have your own cases load, ensuring a consistent quality of, and approach to, delivering information, advice and support.
Supporting Carers also involves providing and facilitating peer support groups, activities and training opportunities, so you will have every opportunity to demonstrate your creativity and ability to be organised and plan ahead.
You will work with local organisations from the public, private and voluntary sector. This will include GP practices to raise awareness of Carers and develop positive, productive working relationships. You will develop the network of support available to Carers by recruiting Carers champions within the community and the organisations you work with. You will also establish information points around the county by supporting the recruitment and training of volunteers, giving Carers greater access to information and advice.
You must be keen to develop both yourself and the organisation, seeking and taking advantage of training opportunities and utilising your ability to network, negotiate and put ideas into action.
Closing Date: 10 am Monday 9th October
Interviews will take place on 12th October
