The Carers’ Support Service is responsible for delivering the majority of free, preventative support to Carers in North East Lincolnshire. Our volunteer led services are vital to ensuring Carers receive the support they need to continue caring safely and to keep themselves well.
The volunteer coordinator will manage existing volunteers, recruit new volunteers and develop volunteer roles and services in line with organisational change. You will also have freedom to take advantage of opportunities that enable the Carers’ Support Service to diversify the support we offer.
The post holder will work with the Counselling Co-ordinator to deliver a robust programme which includes planned outreach, recruitment, training, volunteer supervisions, volunteer meetings, an annual volunteer awards and service evaluations.
The Carers’ Support Service provides exceptional support that meets the needs of a large number of Carers. We pride ourselves on the quality of our support and the needs based person centred approach that we take. The post holder will have experience of working in this way and of delivering a quality service, either directly or as part of a team.
To be successful in this role, the post holder will need experience of working with members of the public and successfully supervising or managing a team or group of people. They will have an understanding of volunteers’ motivations and the benefits they bring to the Carers’ Support Service. They will be used to working as part of a team and able to work on their own initiative. An ability to be organised and plan ahead are key skills needed for this role.
