Training for Carers

The Carers’ Support Service offers a range of training to help you cope with and manage your caring role.

First Aid Training and Looking After Your Back workshops run throughout the year giving Carers the skills and knowledge to deal with an emergency situation, and information and advice on helping the person you care for move about safely without hurting your own back.

Coming this summer – We are hosting the popular course Understanding Dementia – A four session course to learn what it means to have Dementia – What Dementia is – How it affects people – Watch this space for dates.

The training we provide very much depends on what you ask us for. We have a variety of training and workshops available all year round. You are also able to access training provided by Focus Independent Adult Social work absolutely free.

Give us a call to find out about training opportunities we currently have available.
